An orthodontic consultation is the first step toward understanding your bite, alignment, and treatment options. At Parnell Orthodontics, this appointment is designed to be informative, relaxed, and focused on education rather than pressure.
During your consultation, your orthodontist will perform a comprehensive assessment of your teeth, bite, jaw position, and facial balance. This includes reviewing how your teeth fit together, how your jaws function, and whether any crowding, spacing, or bite discrepancies are present.
Digital records may be taken, including photographs, digital scans, and where appropriate, 3D CBCT imaging using our Sirona AXEOS system. This technology allows for detailed assessment of tooth roots, bone structure, and jaw relationships, helping to guide precise and safe treatment planning.
Once the assessment is complete, your orthodontist will explain the findings in clear, easy-to-understand language. Treatment options will be discussed, including Invisalign / Angel Aligner Pro - custom-designed 3D clear aligners or fixed braces where appropriate. Each option is explained in terms of benefits, limitations, and expected outcomes.
You will also receive an overview of treatment duration, appointment frequency, and financial considerations. At Parnell Orthodontics, we believe transparency is essential. Fees and payment options are discussed openly so you can make an informed decision without pressure.
The consultation is also your opportunity to ask questions. Whether you are curious about treatment time, comfort, long-term stability, or aesthetics, we encourage open discussion. Our goal is for you to leave feeling informed, confident, and comfortable with the proposed plan.
